Blueberry Charm Earrings

This piece is part of my summer fruit collection, inspired by all the fresh flavors and colors of the season. These charms in particular were designed to capture the deep hues of blueberries. The design draws inspiration from summer time when blueberries are in abundance. I wanted to create a wearable reminder of the simple moments spent enjoying the fruits of the season in the summer heat.

How the Earrings are Made

Firstly, I create the blueberry charms using a combination of dark hued clay pieces including black, blue and purple. The clay is shaped into blueberries and a dotting tool is used to create the details. White flower buds are also shaped to complement the blueberry charms. After baking, the charms are splattered with white acrylic paint to create the bloom of the blueberry. Each charm is then covered in a clear glossy varnish by Darwi. This not only protects the against wear and tear but also adds a soft shine.

The charms are attached to 316L gold toned stainless steel hoops. These hoops are light and comfortable to wear all day long. Additionally, the warm gold color perfectly complements the deep blue hue of the blueberry charms.

Since I make each charm by hand, you may notice small differences in shape and details.

Care Tips

-Avoid water, perfumes, and harsh chemicals, as these can dull the varnish

-Store your earrings separately, away from sharp objects to prevent scratches or damage

-Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth when needed

-Handle with care since polymer clay is sturdy but can chip if dropped
